Dad's Weekend has always been a special time for Hannah Guidroz, a senior at the University of Arkansas and a proud member of Alpha Chi Omega. As she looks back on her last four Dad’s Weekends, there’s a sense of nostalgia and gratitude for being able to share these moments with her dad. “Dad’s Weekend has always been special to me! I’m so grateful to have been able to show my dad what my sorority is all about. I’m the first in my family to have been part of Greek Life, so being able to share it with them makes it even more special.”

For Hannah, the weekend isn’t just about the tailgates or the football games; it’s about creating lasting memories with her family and celebrating the bond she shares with her sisters in Alpha Chi. “One of my favorite parts of the weekend is getting to be my dad’s tour guide around the sorority house and showing him how we celebrate game days in Fayetteville. It’s so fun to share that experience with him and show him what it means to be part of a sorority.”

But it’s not just about the traditions and fun moments; it’s also about the merch that ties everything together. Every year, Hannah’s dad proudly wears his AXO Dad polo at the tailgate, a tradition that’s become a sweet reminder of their time spent together. “He also never fails to send me a selfie every time he’s wearing his AXO Dad merch! It’s adorable and something that really makes me smile,” she shares.

One of the most meaningful parts of Hannah’s experience has been the opportunity to design her own custom merch for Dad’s Weekend. Last year, when she had the chance to plan the weekend’s events, she also got to create a t-shirt and crewneck that would forever represent the memories she made. “I wear the t-shirt and the crewneck constantly, and when I see other Alpha Chi’s sporting that merch, it makes me smile!
